We were asked to create a solution for the staircase that would give the space an elegant weight. The curtains under each step add a more architectural expression to the staircase and provide a discreet partition of the wardrobe, blending naturally into the rest of the room.
JAZZKLUBBEN
In the jazz club, the curtains help set the scene. Light curtains in a medium-weight quality soften daylight and create the right frames for an intimate, subdued atmosphere. They also act as screening beneath the centered staircase. Together with the soft furnishings and warm wooden panelling, the result feels consistent and welcoming. And with wireless control, it is easy to adjust the mood to the time, the music, and the feeling in the room.
Working with Epicurus, our focus has been to develop curtain solutions that support the venue’s atmosphere across the different rooms. That is why the light, sheer solutions in the restaurant and the more mood-setting approach in the jazz club are designed as one overall direction. In the restaurant, sheer curtains have been chosen in a light, elegant material that allows daylight to drift softly into the space. They bring a calm sense of movement and ease around the tables without pulling attention away from the surroundings. Mounted on discreet tracks, the curtains sit naturally in the room and highlight the lines of the interior.
The curtains are kept in neutral, light tones to create a calm contrast to the room’s warm colours.
