Tone and texture
In a renovated older home on Frederiksberg, the choice of curtains needs to handle both function and aesthetics. In the living room, where the family spends most of their time, the curtains were chosen in a warm, neutral colour that complements the interior and helps the space feel welcoming.
The fabric is light enough to let daylight come through during the day, while still protecting privacy in the evening.
In the bedrooms, curtains were installed in two layers. The first layer is sheer, filtering the stronger sunlight gently and creating a calmer atmosphere when daylight shifts and the evening comes. Special coloured curtain rails were also fitted to complete the look and tie the details together. The curtain choices were made with the residents’ specific wishes in mind, while staying in harmony with both the atmosphere of the rooms and the architecture of the older villa.
